Sofia University is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of faculty, students, and alumni from the Dream Studies Certificate (DSC) who participated in the 2026 International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) Conference, held in Ashland, Oregon, from June 13–17, 2026.
Dr. Angel Morgan, Director of Sofia University’s Dream Studies Certificate program, was honored to co-host the conference alongside Dr. Kelly Bulkeley, contributing to a meaningful gathering dedicated to advancing research, fostering collaboration, and exploring dreams and consciousness.
The following highlights showcase the presentations, achievements, and contributions of the Sofia University community throughout the conference.
1) Dr. Angel Morgan and Dr. Kelly Bulkeley co-hosting IASD 2026
2) The conference was buzzing with the metaphoric energy of bees in a hive, as embodied by the powerful Opening and Closing ceremonies led by performance artist and IASD member, Lana Nasser.
3) Bryan Negron Quinones, PhD student in Transpersonal Psychology, is completing the Sofia Dream Studies Certificate this summer.

4) Dr. Morgan introducing her short film Dreamer’s Powerful Tiger, which had its World Premiere at IASD 2026.
5) It was a pleasure to share the exciting results of 7 research studies I conducted at Sofia with DSC students on The Lucid Dreaming Sender Effect in Dream Telepathy Experiments. This led to a very engaging conversation with lucid dreaming enthusiasts at IASD!
6) Sofia’s Marshall Chair of AI Alignment and Consciousness Research, Dr. Gordon Montgomery, presented his research, Introducing the Holopsychology Revolution from Dreamwork via Synchronicity to Meaning in a symposium with IASD’s conference director, Robert Hoss.
7) Sofia’s DSC was well represented in the IASD 2026 Juried Dream Art Exhibit!

8) Sofia Dream Studies Certificate student Dafna Mordecai’s dream painting shown in the IASD 2026 Dream Art Exhibit. Dafna also presented in a Special Event at IASD that was beautifully presented and very well received!
9) Hazal Orhon, Sofia Dream Studies Certificate student completing this summer, won the 1st Place juried prize in the IASD Dream Art Exhibit for her dream photography.
