Student Affairs

Sofia University students are individuals with a broad range of professional backgrounds including education, business, health, law and theology who have reached a point in their lives when they desire to pursue areas of personal growth, career development, and community contribution. Our adult learners range in age, include members of our armed forces, and various walks of life.

Student Conduct

Sofia University is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. Each member of the Sofia community should adhere to behaviors of good moral conduct. Students are expected to engage in responsible behaviors and inconsistent with the Student Honor Code.

Center for Student Engagement and Activities

Student life is rich with opportunities to participate in the life of the community. Members of the Sofia learning community gather together in numerous ways to learn, form special interest groups and enjoy one another in a social setting. Visit our Student Life page to learn more!

Graduation

In June of each year, Sofia University recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students that have completed their programs coursework. All students who have received a degree in the current academic year are welcome to participate in the ceremony, and alumni are always invited to attend the ceremony.

Applying for Graduation
Upon completion of the requirements for a degree program, students must apply for graduation in order to have their degree posted to their academic record. Any questions about the process of graduation should be addressed to the Registrar.
Students may apply for graduation in any quarter, but in order to participate in the annual commencement ceremony, there will be an additional form to fill in. Please contact the registrar office for more information at 1.888.820.1484 ext. 10330 or via email at registrar@sofia.edu.

Wellness

Sofia does not provide or require students to maintain health insurance. Since every student’s needs are unique, we recommend that students research health insurance options carefully and select a program that best meets their needs.

Scholarships

Moving Humanity Forward Scholarship
We believe that every student who enrolls at Sofia University has the ability to be a ripple in the wave of humanity’s evolution. This scholarship asks you to consider your own personal contribution to this amazing effort. Whether you see yourself as a ripple within your own personal home community, within a larger organization, or as an international change maker, we would like to know how you envision your education at Sofia University will help you move humanity forward.

The Moving Humanity Forward Scholarship is for students new to the University who have never attended before.

Award amount: $2000 for the first (4) quarters of enrollment which will be a $500 credit for each quarter. Please visit our Financing Your Education page for more details regarding this scholarship.
