Natalie Krivas, Ph.D. is an educator, systems strategist, and nonprofit leader focused on advancing sustainable development through leadership, education, and organizational practice. She serves as Vice President of Development and Communications at the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, where she leads strategic initiatives that strengthen partnerships and drive systems-level impact.
Dr. Krivas was drawn to Sofia University’s MBA program for its interdisciplinary approach to sustainable development and its commitment to educating leaders who can navigate complex global challenges. She is especially aligned with the program’s emphasis on redefining success in business—where financial sustainability is paired with the responsibility to design systems that are socially and environmentally sound. Her teaching reflects this perspective by engaging students in applied, systems-based approaches to sustainability across industries and career pathways.
Dr. Krivas also teaches part-time at Valparaiso University, where she integrates sustainability, ethics, and real-world application into her teaching. She holds a Ph.D. in Managing Organizational Systems from Saybrook University. Her work centers on engaging students and professionals in applying socially and environmentally responsible practices across disciplines and career pathways. She has led faculty learning communities for over a decade and has presented on sustainability and systems thinking at regional and international conferences, including most recently the Purdue University Interdisciplinary Sustainable Development Academic Symposium. Dr. Krivas is also Founder and Principal of IRIS Consulting Group, supporting organizations in aligning systems strategy, culture, and sustainable impact.
