Virtual Event Overview

As a Community, Sofia Chants HU to Open Our Most Sacred Collective Power.

Join us online Saturday, February 20th at 12 p.m. PDT for a transformative sound exercise, learning the benefits of chanting by participating in a 30-minute continuous chant of the HU mantra. The event is hosted by MA in Transpersonal Psychology alumna, Tyffany Howard.

According to Eckankar, a spiritual teaching, “HU is an ancient, sacred name for God—a carrier of love between Soul and God. When sung or chanted with an open heart, [the HU mantra] opens the lines of communication to the most sacred part of yourself.”

In his book, The Alchemy of Voice: Transform and Enrich Your Life Through the Power of Your Voice, Stewart Pearce writes, “Over the centuries we have developed an understanding of the transformative power of sound and have come to understand how, as a living force, sound also has the ability to transmute life.”

Getting Prepared for the Event

There are no materials or specific instructions for preparing for the chant, but as with all virtual events, we please ask that you try to log into the event in a timely fashion so that you, as well as others, benefit fully from the chant exercise.

Tyffany Howard, J.D., MATP

Meet Your Host for this Event

Tyffany Howard, J.D., is a personal and spiritual growth teacher, spiritual counselor, inspirational speaker, spiritual activist, artist, author, and nature mystic.

She has training as a certified life coach, Level 2 EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practitioner, and certified Reiki Master. Tyffany earned her M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology with a specialization in Spiritual Psychology from Sofia University. She facilitates workshops and retreats focused on cultivating conscious human development. Through her writing, speaking, YouTube videos, and live group experiences, Tyffany impacts, empowers, and inspires many around the world.

Coined “The Tapping Lady” by a fan, Tyffany has authored three how-to guides to tapping. This EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping book series includes: tap that!; taptap! Tracy’s hair, God made it special, a children’s book; and tap that too! Healing the Death Trauma, a spiritual grief taping book.
