Janett Cabanero is an accomplished higher education administrator and financial aid professional with more than 20 years of experience in academic administration, student services, compliance, finance, and organizational leadership.
She currently serves as Director of Financial Aid at Sofia University, where she provides strategic leadership in financial aid administration, regulatory compliance, and student support services. Throughout her career, Janett has remained committed to expanding educational access and promoting student success.
Her extensive experience includes leadership roles as Ethics and Grant Manager for the California Lawyers Association, Director of Operations and Compliance at Cinta Aveda Institute, Director of Financial Aid at Cogswell Polytechnical College, and Director of Finance for the Art Institute of California–San Francisco. She also spent more than eight years with The Art Institutes, advancing through a series of leadership positions in student financial services and financial aid administration.
