Dr. Samila Amanyraoufpoor is an international business scholar, educator, and academic leader with more than two decades of experience in higher education, business, and global engagement. Her career has been dedicated to advancing business education, developing future leaders, and fostering meaningful connections between academia, industry, and the global community.
Dr. Amanyraoufpoor earned her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in International Business with a concentration in Global Marketing from Alliant International University. Her research interests include international business, global marketing, economic development, cross-cultural management, and emerging markets. Her scholarly work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has examined topics ranging from women’s economic empowerment and international trade to political communication in post-conflict societies. She also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Eastern European and Central Asian Research (JEECAR), contributing to the advancement of international business scholarship and academic excellence.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Amanyraoufpoor has held faculty and leadership appointments at numerous institutions of higher education, including the California State University system, the University of California, Irvine, National University, and universities in the United States and abroad. She previously served as Department Chair of the MBA Program at Nobel University, where she led curriculum development, accreditation initiatives, faculty collaboration, student success efforts, and strategic program growth.
Her international experience includes serving as Visiting Faculty at the School of Business, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSBS) in Guangzhou, China, a historically renowned business school with a distinguished global reputation. SYSBS holds the prestigious Triple Crown accreditation—AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. Consistently recognized among the world’s leading business schools, SYSBS has been ranked #85 among the global educational institutions.
Prior to entering academia, Dr. Amanyraoufpoor held professional positions in marketing analysis, internal auditing, telecommunications, and technology sectors, including roles with Verizon Wireless and Ingram Micro. Her industry experience enriches her approach to business education by connecting academic theory with real-world practice and contemporary global challenges.
Beyond her academic work, Dr. Amanyraoufpoor has been actively engaged in professional, community, and humanitarian initiatives. She has supported entrepreneurship and small-business development through SCORE, participated in international educational delegations in South Africa and China, and contributed to
nonprofit and community organizations dedicated to leadership development, international understanding, and public service.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys running, hiking, cycling, international travel, and spending time with her family.
