Vitor owns a PhD in Psychology magna cum laude from the University of Lisbon (2002). He is a Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Writer, has published 16 books on subjects including self-help (such as “Build your own Happiness”), sci-fi (Invasion of the Earthmen”), philosophy (The Book of Ignorance”) or social criticism (“General Theory of Human Stupidity”). He was a previous President of the European Transpersonal Association and has taught Educational and Developmental Psychology at Portuguese universities for 17 years. He also published relevant articles in the field of consciousness studies, namely as main author to the chapter on Transpersonal Psychotherapies in the “The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Transpersonal Psychology”. Vitor has conducted hundreds of trainings and lectures pertaining to transpersonal psychology in many countries.
