U.S. Department of Education Regulations 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) and 34 CFR 668.43 (c) require disclosures by institutions regarding educational requirements for programs leading to professional licensure or certification, which applies to both online and on-ground programs. Further, 34 CFR 668.43(a)(5)(v) requires an institution to make readily available to enrolled and prospective students whether programs leading to professional licensure or certification meet educational requirements.
In compliance with these disclosure requirements, Sofia University informs both enrolled students and applicants of its research with regard to the relationship between the curriculum for the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) and educational requirements in the states in which students are located or may locate to seek licensure.
Students who join the MA in Counseling Psychology will be provided with a disclosure document going over the following information and asked to sign and return a copy.
