With a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Sofia University, you will receive formal scientific training as well as spiritually integrated clinical coursework. Sofia University’s Psy.D. is the first program of its kind to integrate a spiritual orientation with APA accreditation standards. After degree completion, you will be prepared for a career as a licensed psychologist, supervisory leader in a mental health/substance abuse/corrections agency, supervisor in a private practice, teaching faculty, or research faculty. As a Sofia University Psy.D. student, you will experience an innovative whole-person approach, focusing on experiential learning, clinical training with a spiritually-oriented focus and research on clinical interventions from a spiritually-oriented perspective. The program integrates nondenominational spirituality and an understanding of world religious beliefs and practices into the training to be a clinical psychologist. Spiritual issues and practices, and culturally-based religious practices are integral to all areas of the program. You will receive professional training in the broad and general foundations of the science and practice of clinical psychology, as well as the significance of individual and cultural differences upon human development. With a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Sofia University, you will receive formal scientific training as well as spiritually-integrated clinical coursework. Sofia's Psy.D. program is the first program of its kind to integrate a spiritual orientation with APA accreditation standards.
Note: As part of your professional development, you will be required to complete 40 hours of personal psychotherapy within your first two years, as well as 10 hours of spiritual guidance during your third year.

- Bachelor degree with 3.0 GPA in psychology or a related field
